Psychological testing makes up a crucial part of GOAA’s assessment processes. Through testing, we obtain objective measures of personality, motivation, interpersonal challenges, and cognitive abilities. Our test battery is limited to the most well-researched instruments on the market, and we only ever apply tests that are specialized and validated in an aviation context.

However, even the most solid psychological test is of little use if not applied properly. The EASA regulations on psychological testing are relevant insofar they lead to an increased attention to human factors and safety in aviation. But testing is just one of many tools available to address the challenges of recruitment, safety behaviors, and professional development in the aviation industry.
